This family bought their house in Denmark in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The impact of Katrina on the world economy caused a drop in the interest rates for new mortgages in Denmark, enabling the family to afford the house.
This Photograph has the price of $20,000 equivalent to the amount the family saved buying their house. When sold, the money will be spend on construction materials to be used by families in the Lower 9th Ward, New Orleans.
