Superflex challenges the Royal Danish Theatre.
Superflex has been invited to art direct events at the Royal Danish Theatre's Turbinehallerne in March. Each month throughout the current season, the Royal Danish Theatre's Turbinehallerne invites a curator from the Copenhagen art scene to art direct events at the theatre, such as nightclubs, exhibitions, public debates and concerts.
Superflex has, however, declined to host exhibitions at Turbinehallerne or stage events in the basement bar. Instead, Superflex has compiled a binding contract stipulating that the Royal Danish Theatre must throughout the month of March abstain from using 10 specific words in its oral and written communication related to Turbinehallerne. The contract has been countersigned by Superflex and Managing Director of the Royal Danish Theatre, Michael Christiansen.
