Free Beer and Counter-Game Strategies

Potato Machine, for 2 players
One player puts a potato in the tube. The other player tries to hit it with the hammer.
Poetry Machine, for 2 players
One player (the 'poet') produces poems, represented here by potatoes placed in the launching tube. The other player (the 'critic') expresses their opinion of the poems using the hammer provided.

Anti-Piracy Machine, for 2 players
This machine models the noble struggle against counterfeit goods of all kinds. One player (the 'pirate') places bootleg material (represented here by potatos) into the marketplace (represented by the launching tube). The other player (the 'police') uses the subtle and finely-tuned instrument of the law (represented here by a hammer) to remove pirate material from circulation. Five points to the pirate for every potato missed, one point to the police for every potato hit.

Cracking Machine, for 2 players
One player (the 'industry') plays the role of a vendor of DRM-protected digital material, represented here by potatos placed in the launching tube. The other player (the 'cracker') uses the distributed resources of a shadowy underground community (represented here by a hammer) to try and crack the DRM protection, clearly for the purpose of funding international terrorism.

Artworld Machine, for 2 or more players
One player (the 'artist') feeds hand-crafted works of genius (represented here by potatos) into the artworld system. The other players (the 'collectors') attempt to acquire these works by striking them with the hammers provided.
