A Replica chair of the renowned Ant Chair by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen from 1953 is manually modified in an attempt to correct and hereby make it more similar to Jacobsen's original design. Hence, mass-produced imitations of a design classic are turned into unique pieces. In a response to the censoring of the work Guaraná Power planned for the 27th São Paulo Bienal, Brazil, 2006, SUPERFLEX developed this work bringing focus to the power of Intellectual property rights. The installation consisted of 80 white chairs on a platform, later versions include brown and multi-coloured. Thet 27th São Paulo Bienal, Brazil, 2006, curated by Lisette Lagnado, Adriano Pedrosa, Cristina Freire, José Roca, Rosa Martínez and Jochen Volz. The white version was later exhibited at Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Santiago de Chile, 2007.
