The Financial Crisis at Thessaloniki Biennale

The Financial Crisis is a part of the main exhibition of 7th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary: STASIS / Taking a Stance Art at MOMus - Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki, Greece. The biennale will run from 12th October 2019 until 16th February 2020.

The Thessaloniki Biennale writes about the aims of the biennale: "having recognized the necessity for a critical reconsideration of this longstanding intitution, its politics, attempts a turn: towards the artworks, the artists, the actions and the narratives that do not just aim to be creative, but also to define a position towards life and the world (...) it actually opens up more decisively towards the artists and the public, inaugurating a dialogue by exploring stances and positions, manners and practices, archivies and documents".
Some of the positions the biennale explores are the issues that contemporary societies are facing in the current conditions of acceleration and increasing inquality and people's standpoint toward the world and the planet.
